Roshills Constructions is a family business that specialises in the construction of new homes, extensions and first floor additions.

Our motto, "Building Your Future in the Tradition of the Past", was coined by John Rostirolla, the director of the company, and reflects our commitment to service and quality workmanship. This has led to us earning a valued reputation for excellence with complex architectural designs and engineering.

We have an experienced team of tradespeople and typically carry out works including:

- creating contemporary spaces within traditional dwellings
- refreshing & enlarging suburban brick veneer homes
- knockdown & rebuild projects
- contemporary custom-designed dwellings
- restoration of heritage homes
- 'green thinking' helping keep your footprint small.

Visit our gallery for recent examples of our work.

John Rostirolla's father established Roshills Constructions in 1962 after emigrating from Italy. A stonemason, he spent several years building houses in the Broken Hill area. In those days, house plans were sometimes as simple as a diagram drawn in the sand, and agreements were sealed with a handshake. After coming to Sydney, John's father built houses throughout the North Shore and Hills District.

John Rostirolla completed his apprenticeship in 1985 then worked in the building industry as a carpenter and joiner before re-establishing Roshills Constructions in 1993. John still loves the hands-on aspect of building and is on site to personally supervise every project from start to finish.

In 1997, due to changes in the industry, John returned to study, completing a Certificate IV in Residential Construction and was awarded the College Medal for topping his class. He remains at the forefront of the building industry as the past President of the Master Builders Association (MBA) of NSW's Parramatta-Cumberland region. John currently serves on Council of Management with the MBA NSW and is a Trustee of the Parramatta-Cumberland division of the MBA.
